Last Easter, at my grandma's house, she asked if I wanted this wall mount, heart shaped, bow quilt holder. My answer was an easy yes, but the idea of what I was going to do with it-not so much. I held onto it for a couple months, shifting it from different storage areas in my home as I contemplated what I could do with it. I had almost given up when inspiration struck. I don't remember if it was a video or picture for what I saw, but it was someone using burlap ribbon to tie the end of their stems as it hung out of something. And that's when the idea hit, I should use that old wooden quilt holder to hold different seasonal arrangements; and I had just the place! Right by front door is this skinny wall that just screamed that it needed something, I just could never find the right thing. But this would be perfect! So, I mounted it, (well my husband did), and I quickly ran to Hobby Lobby to buy an assortment of fall floral stems to put in it. And this is where the original inspiration comes in, while at Hobby Lobby, I also grabbed some thick burlap ribbon. Any small burlap sack or burlap ribbon will do (or use a seasonal print-I just recommend the ribbon being on the thicker side!). And I wrapped the ends of the stems together, while also making sure to go underneath the arrangement for support. And then after I tied that off, I just plopped it right in the center of the quilt holder-and the voila-we turned a quilt holder into seasonal decor we can use all year!
